Bespoke fashion and fitting appointments Design concept

Layan Atelier

A Kuwaiti atelier experience connecting a garment, fabric, occasion notes and a fitting appointment in one calm journey.

We designed the digital experience for Layan Atelier, a fictional atelier in Jabriya specializing in made-to-order pieces. It reflects the care of a fitting session and helps a client arrive knowing what the team will discuss.

Project brief

A fictional atelier needs an Arabic experience that reflects bespoke craft and organizes fitting requests.

Design scope

  • Collections and fabric website
  • Fitting appointment and notes page
  • Arabic identity with sample imagery and records

The project challenge

Bespoke orders often begin with a reference photograph and an upcoming occasion, followed by questions about fabric, color, sleeves and delivery timing. A long message thread makes it hard to distinguish confirmed choices from ideas merely discussed. A generic appointment form gives the team little context about the piece or the time the visit needs. The design brief focused on organizing the beginning of this relationship without turning a personal service into a rigid catalogue or promising an unreviewed delivery date.

The solution we designed

We connected collections, fabric and finishing details, and fitting requests. A garment page carries its photograph, style and discussion options; notes stay attached to the request. The appointment form asks for occasion, preferred time and a short preparation note, explaining that the atelier confirms the session. We kept detailed measurements out of the initial step because they are reviewed during the fitting. A clear calendar shows available appointments, visit length and reception location.

The experience

A client selects an evening silhouette and notes a preference for comfortable sleeves and dark fabric. The fitting page keeps the selected reference beside the calendar. She requests Thursday 22 October at 4:30 pm and explains that the occasion is three weeks away. The team receives a garment, occasion and preferred-time summary and can confirm the appointment or suggest an alternative. The fitting then begins from shared context, while later adjustments remain linked to the same request.

Design direction

Ivory, charcoal and natural fashion photography give Layan Atelier the feel of an atelier notebook. Elegant Arabic headings remain readable, while fields and booking actions are direct. Collection browsing is photographic; appointment booking is structured around information and timing. Fabric and garment detail remain present without obscuring the next step. The language explains what happens after submission and how the team prepares for the visit.
