Recruitment and interview planning Design concept

Ofoq Recruitment

A recruitment workspace for a Kuwaiti company that brings candidates, interviews and notes into a clear decision path for each role.

We designed Ofoq Recruitment for a services company in Kuwait City rebuilding its digital team. The project follows recruiters from receiving candidates through scheduling interviews and reviewing feedback. A calm Arabic identity prioritises people and their records over unrelated metrics, making today's reviews and pending decisions obvious.

Project brief

A design study for a fictional Kuwaiti company organising digital-team recruitment, candidate reviews and interviews.

Design scope

  • Arabic identity and per-role candidate pipeline
  • Candidate profiles and contextual review notes
  • Interview calendar, invitations and discussion guides

The project challenge

Applications arrived by email while interview notes lived in separate spreadsheets. Managers asked about people a colleague had already reviewed, and a generic Under review state concealed the actual step. We separated new applications, portfolio review, interviews and offers, using counts that explain themselves. The team also needed the interviewer, time and link without another round of messages.

The solution we designed

A Product Designer role contains twelve candidates in four current stages: four new, four portfolio reviews, three interviews and one offer. The total is not reused as a stage count. Selecting Asmaa Al Ghanim opens experience, skills, portfolio and reviewer in a stable side panel. A weekly calendar connects each interview to the person, type, interviewer and discussion guide, while distinguishing drafts from sent invitations.

The experience

Noura Al Abdullah reviews Asmaa for the design team in Sharq, opens a work sample and records a role-specific observation. She chooses Wednesday 14 October, 09:30–10:15, reviews the interviewer and topics and sends the invitation. Two further appointments sit in non-overlapping periods on Wednesday and Thursday. After the interview, feedback stays with the candidate and the team sees the next decision.

What it could do

01

Accurate stages

Give each person one current state and keep stage counts consistent with the total.

02

A contextual profile

Keep experience, skills, work samples and reviewer with the role and the reason for the next step.

03

Interview calendar

Connect candidate, interviewer and meeting type to a full time window rather than a start time alone.

04

Reviewable invitations

Separate drafts from sent invitations and show the discussion guide before confirming the appointment.

A typical journey

  1. Open the role list

Noura reviews twelve candidates across clear stages and selects a profile awaiting a decision.

  2. Record the review

She checks a work sample and adds a note against the team's role requirements.

  3. Arrange the interview

She selects the date, interval and interviewer and reviews the invitation draft.

  4. Update the next step

She records the outcome so the team can read the feedback before changing the stage.

Design direction

Deep green, pale mint and elegant Arabic headings distinguish Ofoq Recruitment from harsher operations tools. Its mark joins two paths within an Arabic form, and natural portraits support identification. Lists, filters and calendar remain practical and specific. Candidate and interview screenshots share the same identity and records, with October weekdays matching their dates.
